About

Tigz Theatre, a new and exciting theatre company with strong Welsh roots, launched in 2013 with the aim of bringing the best of a multi-talented and multi-disciplined approach to theatre. We constantly strive to be the best in our field and use the best of up and coming and emerging talent to create shows that will make you laugh and cry, but will never be predictable.  We can also provide a maintenance and training service to small groups, specialising in helping the amateur and community theatre sectors, more information on these services will be added to the website soon.

Between 2013 and 2017 Tigz Theatre was the resident theatre company of the London Welsh Centre. During this time Tigz Theatre created new shows such as “Tea with Mamgu” and “Valentines” and produced well known classics such as “The Taming of the Shrew” and “Macbeth”. In addition to producing productions, Tigz Theatre also managed the London Welsh Centre’s involvement in the Camden Fringe and supported the London Welsh Centre’s Community Drama Group. This is a group of non-professional community performers based across London who gathered every Friday at the London Welsh Centre to work with our Artistic Director to create an exciting annual performance that included “Under Milk Wood”, “Night Must Fall” and “A Christmas Carol”.

In 2018 Tigz Theatre will be producing “March 3rd, notes from my little black book, and other ‘crazy’ ramblings of a Manic Depressive” as part of the Tristan Bates Theatre’s Mental Health season. More details about the show can be found here.
