Valentines

It’s the most idiotic. Most ironic. Most stupid, human quality you can have. That love is the thing that turns people from their homelands, their families; it threatens their lives. Makes the outcasts from their own people. Love. The greatest force we have. The thing that will mend us all in the end. – Stephen Fry BBC Two’s “Out There”

A devised work examining 100 years of LGBT world history focusing socio-cultural and socio-political factors such as the intolerance, acceptance, prejudice and inclusion of the LGBT community. We will examine the celebration of Valentine’s Day by LGBT people in these time and how the celebrations have changed, evolved and stayed the same as the LGBT community has become more accepted in some societies and persecuted in others.

The first performance of Valentines will be Friday 14th  February, at the London Welsh Center On Gray’s Inn Road, London.

Tickets are £7 in advance, and will be available on the door subject to availability.
